You will depart from the foothills of the Swartberg Pass to the summit which is 1,583 metres above sea level. This magnificent pass is rated as the most beautiful in Africa, and is also definitely considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The fascinating history of this pass that was built by convicts and constructed by the master engineer Thomas Bain is sure to leave you in awe.

There are several stops along the way, with magical photo opportunities where your guide will tell you more about the history of this pass. From the winding summit, you will take a hike through the reserve between the 500 different species of fauna and flora which are found here.
