Overview

Discover the interior of the Valencian Community, its mountainous landscape, and its lesser-known and well-preserved historical cities that will surprise you. Xàtiva was one of the most important historical cities, full of palaces and heritage, the place where the famous Borgia family was born. We will go up by car to its castle, which was a state prison and has landscapes and views of more than 80km. We will continue visiting Ontinyent, a city with an old textile industry that preserves the medieval quarter, the duchess's palace and a fantastic museum of Moors and Christians festivals and parades that we will visit. Finally we will visit Anna, where there is a palace restored by artisans brought from Morocco, making carvings, art and gardens that have given it fame and is known as 'the Valencian Alhambra'

The emblematic castle that makes it up has existed, according to historical archives, since 1244 when King Jaume I gave the Villa de Anna to the Order of Santiago. The courtyard and the Arab halls of this Palace will be visited, which recreate the decorative world of the Muslims, settled in this municipality from the 12th century, with their splendid ceramic mosaics, coffered ceilings and plasterwork. The modern age makes its way into the Borja and Cervellón rooms, setting each era with decoration and furniture and with a multimedia projection that uses images and sounds to bring the visitor closer to the families that owned Anna County.
