We will drive up to Ariel Refuge, the location where the famous Altomontana path begins, a natural path that circumnavigates Mt. Etna from south to north-east side.
On our E-bike Full enduro, we will ride through amazing landscapes, from lush woods (beeches, pines, brooms, poplars) to the lunar desert landscape, created by past lava flows (sciara in Sicilian dialect).
Arriving at the Galvarina Refuge, we will visit Hornitos (a volcanic conic structure). We then descend to visit a haystack, evidence of the ancient tradition of shepherds on Etna. Shortly after, we will arrive at the Lava Tube of Monte Nunziata. After the visit, we will leave for the mountain huts of Monte Spagnolo a perfect place to enjoy a snack and listen to the sounds of the forest.
We then start to ride our way east through the widest lava flow of the ancient time of Etna, it will be the prelude of the biggest wood of Etna, the forest of Ragabo, which will be the end of this majestic off-road trail.
From there, the van will pick us up and back to the Into Etna headquaters. A great day comes to an end, and you will definitely take many photographs und unforgettable memories home.
