Begin your day with a morning hike (9km, may be reduced during high heat season) through the mountains and make your way along the Mijares River, enjoying views of the town and the majestic river. The path eventually leads to the Chorro, a powerful water jet that unleashes 4000 litres of water per minute, a mesmerising spectacle.

Take a dip in the thermal pools (Fuentes de los Baños), said to have been built by Moorish king Abu Zeit to ensure the beauty of his queens. Maintaining a temperature of 23°C throughout the year (so it may seem cooler in summer), they're known for their mineral-rich composition, both relaxing and good for your health.
