What you can expect

Take a Segway tour for a unique experience during your stay in Malta. Start out with a professionally trained tour leader and head out to see some of the island’s main attractions. You’ll begin with an orientation session to make sure that you’re comfortable on your Segway Personal Transporter.

First, you'll visit Dingli. This is a quaint village situated in the highest area of Malta, which is an example of a traditional Maltese village. The village is surrounded by Natura 2000 sites, protected for their ecological and archaeological importance. Dingli is best known for its picturesque cliffs that stand around 300 metres above the sea.

Several prehistoric sites have been found near Dingli. See the so-called Clapham Junction cart ruts, unexplained parallel tracks hewn in the rock, and several megalithic caves – both evidence of significant human activity in ancient times.

There is archaeological evidence tracing civilisations here back to the times of the Phoenicians and the Carthaginians – nearly 2,800 years ago. Phoenician and Carthaginian tombs were also used by the Romans, who occupied Malta around 200 B.C.
