You'll continue this beautiful adventure by discovering the ruins of an old train station: a reminder of the golden age of the sugar industry.

Later, you'll visit the Mahebourg National Museum which will take you into a historical journey of the island dating back to the 18th century. Afterwards continue to Frederik Hendrik historical site bearing witness to the Dutch and French colonial settlements in Mauritius. Why Mahebourg? Mahebourg is one of the oldest villages on the island, going back to the early Dutch and French periods. In fact, the coastal village was named after an important historical figure in Mauritius. Its lagoon is also the site of the historic naval battle between the British and the French.
