Explore the Montalbo, an impressive limestone formation that runs through the Baronie in northwestern Sardinia, accompanied by an environmental hiking guide.
Your adventurous journey will begin in Lula and take you through the Montalbo, passing a striking mountain pass. The trail begins in a forest of holm oaks and takes you inside a fascinating cave. Continuing past the cave, you will reach Montalbo's highest peak, Punta Turuddò, which stands at 1127 metres. From here, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view and a unique opportunity to admire the twin peak. On the way back, you will have the chance to visit interesting sites, including an evocative chasm shrouded in local legends, an ancient pinnettu, used in the past for pastoral purposes, and a Neolithic tomb.
