Start your tour at the harbour entrance where you will notice the Bavarian lion statue and a Stone lighthouse alongside the lake. Here, you will see the two lions hold the shield of the coat of arms.
Admire breathtaking views from the Thieves tower (Diebsturm) which was once a prison. The tower consists of four floors and has a 8 metre diameter. It is known to have been built around 1380 on the highest spot on the island offering good vigil.
Next you will be visiting the Peterskirche (St. Peter's Church) dating back to the 12th century which is dedicated to the Apostle Simon Petrus known as the patron Saint of fishermen. Some of the spectacular artworks that you will see here are the frescos displayed inside the church.
Alongside other historical attractions, you will visit the Rathaus (Town Hall). It is one of the famous landmarks in Lindau located in the heart of the old town. It is said to have been built around 1422-1436 and was used as a library for the Roman empire and houses around 23000 precious historical books.
