Cross the island from the north to the south and understand its different landscapes and climates in each part. You will visit picturesque villages, observe amazing views, learn about the islands history, eat in a traditional restaurant and have a chance to swim by the sand dunes.
You will start your tour in Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas. On the first stop you will be impressed by the views to the crater of the largest volcano of the island - Caldera de Bandama. From here we will drive to a lovely village of Santa Brígida and explore its historical centre. You will also have a chance to grab a quick cup of coffee here.
Third stop will take you to the highest peak of the island called Pico de las Nieves. If the visibility is good, you will have amazing views over the mountains and maybe even to the Tenerife island. If the weather is really bad (heavy clouds, rain, strong wind) this stop would be probably changed for another interesting plan B.
Then you will drive down south to discover the dry part of the island. You will do an interesting stop in a mountain village of San Bartolomé to discover its small historical centre, then we will head to a little “palm oasis” of Fataga where you can have a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant (not included, prices 5-10 euros/meal).
On the last stop you will have 45 minutes to explore the sand dunes in the south most of the island or have a quick jump to the oceans waters and drive back to Las Palmas.
