What you can expect

Three casts of captivating artists bring Puccini’s classic tragedy of bohemian friends and lovers to life in Franco Zeffirelli’s immortal staging. Tenors Matthew Polenzani, Roberto Alagna, and Joseph Calleja trade off as the exuberant Rodolfo, alongside sopranos Ailyn Pérez, Hei-Kyung Hong, and Maria Agresta as the fragile Mimì. Marco Armiliato and Emmanuel Villaume share conducting duties.

Sung in Italian with Met Titles in English, German, Spanish and Italian.

The Metropolitan Opera is a vibrant home for the most creative and talented singers, conductors, composers, musicians, stage directors, designers, visual artists, choreographers, and dancers from around the world. With two dozen operas each season, the Met offers a wide variety of musical and production styles.

Every spot in the opera house is outfitted with a small seat-back screen featuring subtitles (Met Titles) in multiple languages, making it simple to follow along with the onstage action, regardless of whether the performers are singing in Italian, French, German, Russian, or Czech.
