Overview

Professional, Flexible and enjoyable.
Your day will start with pick up from your hotel(Cairns city) and ride a short distance (20 min) to Smithfield Skyrail station.
Experience the Skyrail to Kuranda and our guide will meet you again in Kuranda and show you around the village. Enjoy your free time in Kuranda markets, butterfly scenery, and wildlife zoo. OR you can pay extra for the RFS Army duck tour, Horse riding, quad bike experience, and Kuranda Riverboat. Etc.
In the afternoon, taking the oldest railway travel back from Kuranda to Cairns. Our guide will prepare the admission for you and the information you need for the ride.
Last, we will pick you up from the Cairns railway station and drop you back at your hotel. We might change around depending on the Railway seating available.
If you are a guest on the cruise ship, we will make sure to bring you back to the ship before 4 pm.

A 37-kilometre rail journey onboard authentic vintage carriages through the Barron Gorge National Park (World Heritage-listed rainforest – The Wet Tropics) from Cairns to Kuranda, a village in the rainforest. The track rises 327 metres above sea level with the steepest gradient being 1:50. Travelling over 55 bridges, 98 curves & through 15 hand carved tunnels. Audio commentary in each carriage to provide customers with historical information throughout the journey. Complimentary trip guide (available in 11 languages) The guide includes a journey map corresponding with the onboard commentary. Onboard Guest Services Attendants can answer questions and assist during the journey. 10-minute photographic stop at Barron Falls Lookout. Water coolers in each carriage. Not all Kuranda Scenic Railway seats have a window however all seats have access to view the scenery.
