What you can expect

Meet at Kotti, right in the centre of vibrant Kreuzberg. After a short introduction, get a broad overview of the history and lifestyle of the special place in Berlin. Learn how Kreuzberg was founded as a typical working-class area in the middle of the 19th century.
Discover Oranienstraße and try to imagine life in the past, when many people didn’t rent a whole flat or a room, but an 8 hours-stay on a mattress. Uncover the area's working class and left-wing heritage, and learn about its demonstrations.
Explore the most important historic places and will forge a bridge to today’s everyday life and style in modern Kreuzberg. This place is a melting pot for people of all provenances, opinions, lifestyles, sexualities, and incomes.
On your way through the streets and history of the quarter, meet the former GDR traffic-light men, visit SO36, the place of May Day March demonstrations, listen to dramatic reports of attempts to escape GDR, remember Martin Luther King’s visit in 1964 – and get to know Berlin’s Jack the Ripper.

Enjoy exquisite snacks in selected restaurants in the area as you go. Try various local dishes instead of one big meal, with this varied selection representing Kreuzberg’s multicultural and innovative spirit.
Try original Berlin recipes, intercultural crossover dishes, and international delicatessen. After this culinary and cultural experience, get ready to for your next adventure: experiencing Kreuzberg's infamous nightlife.

We had originally booked the Kreuzberg tour, however they had an inconvenience with the English speaking guide, so we got rebooked to the Mitte food tour. It was nice since in Mitte there are quite a few historical sites and we learned a ton of different things, even after living in Berlin. My only comment would be that the focus was not really a food tour, it was more of a historical walking tour with some snacks. Maybe there is an opportunity to improve the food selection.

: The tour was nice and informative, however the snacks (5 stops) were extremely few/small and ordinary. A plate for about 10 € for 8 people per station, which could have been designed a little more creatively and generously in my opinion.

: The selected restaurants were great, the city tour was a bit too short.

: The small snacks were actually SMALL snacks. More could have been made of the tour. A pity!

: Been nice round, but germ relation to food. Why do you go to this restaurant of all places and eat exactly this dish. For 44€ it was a bit too little food. We were still hungry afterwards. You have to consider that. At the last place, the guide left before the food came. Everything still has potential for improvement. Basically a nice concept with the anecdotes about the places.

: Aibike responded spontaneously to do the tour in English instead of the booked German. The other travelers agreed, good for us. Nice stories about the history of Kreuzberg. Cozy dining locations with plenty of snacks. No full meals. But fun and delicious.!
