Our adventure begins from our base, the resort area of “Lassi”. From there we start our joyous ride with our first stop being the famous beach of “Myrtos”. At this well-known spot, we make a brief stop to admire the magnificent “Myrtos” bay from above & take some photos.
We continue our trip to the north, towards the village of “Assos” for our first stopover.
After a ride full of captivating images we arrive to the small peninsula where the bewitching “Assos” village is situated. There, we have approx. 75 minutes to wander around this picturesque village, admire the old fortress ruins located on top of the small hill, have a coffee of juice to the little cafes and perhaps even swim in the sparkling aquamarine waters of the pebbly bay.
After our great time in Assos we head east, driving by amazing all-green hilltops and wonderful views, we reach the charming little seaside village of Agia Efimia where we'll get to stay for about an hour and 30 minutes.
After we spend our time feasting on delicious local flavours and enjoying the atmosphere the place offers, we continue our tour for the mythical home of the Nymphs, the extraordinary “Melissani” underground lake. There we have the chance to have a little boat ride around the lake and admire the crystal aquamarine waters.
Within a short drive from Melissani, our next stop is the impressive “Drogarati” Cave. There we can admire the formations of stalactites & stalagmites created during thousands of years. At the entrance area there is a gift shop and a small café to enjoy treats.
For our last destination we head towards the village of “Omala” passing by the slopes of Mt. Aenos. The village of “Omala” is where the monastery of “Saint Gerasimos” (the patron Saint of Kefalonia) is located.
A close distance to the monastery is located one of the most famous wineries of the island - Orealios Gaea. Getting to the winery, we’ll have a tour, learning about the vines and taste the great labels that are produced there.
Finally, with unforgettable views along the way we head back to Argostoli where we began our day.
