Oshima tsumugi is a silk fabric produced on Amami Oshima Island (Kagoshima Prefecture) and is said to be the queen of kimono, representing Japanese folk costume.Oshima tsumugi is a traditional Japanese silk fabric.

The process involves about 30 to 40 steps, from making the yarn to extracting the dye solution, and only after many years are they born.

The unique colours and beautiful patterns of Oshima tsumugi woven one by one by the hand of weavers are the characteristics.
