On the way to Furnas Valley you will see mesmerising views of the south coast and the first capital of the island, São Miguel. From the heights of Miradouro da Nossa Senhora da Paz, you'll look down on the famous island of Vila Franca.
Visit Furnas Lake and the fumaroles, which are located in the crater of a huge volcano. Then take a dip in the healing waters of the thermal springs and walk in the Terra Nostra Park.
After lunch cooked underground by the steaming Fournache volcano, we will be treated to sparkling water springs, a tea factory and spectacular views of the island's northern coastline.
