What you can expect

The tour begins with the departure from the selected hotels to visit some of the most important points where we can verify the history of the city of Salvador, its first streets, squares and churches.

We start with the Barra Lighthouse to reach the Cidade Alta through the Victory Corridor , Campo Grande and Piedade. It is the modern part of the city, so there are big buildings and shopping centres; the streets and avenues are very busy, and it is considered the economic centre of Salvador.

Next we will walk through the Municipal Square, where are the Río Branco Palace and the City Hall, opposite the Lacerda lift, from whose balustrades you can see one of the most beautiful views of the Bahía de Todos los Santos.

From the viewpoint of the lift, we will appreciate the Upper City, the Lower City and the diversity of angles offered by the variety of plans that offer the streets and houses of Pelô. We will continue to the Terreiro de Jesús, where the Basílica Catedral del Salvador is located, and we will visit the Church of San Francisco, one of the richest in Brazil and considered the most beautiful example of Portuguese Baroque in the world.

We will end our tour at the Largo do Pelourinho, a place that mixes colours, races, culture and history. Recognised as a World Heritage Site by Unesco and immortalised by the illustrious writer Jorge Amado.

At the end, we will return to the passengers' hotels.
