What you can expect

Indulge in the exquisite taste of our handmade cured meats and learn from Manolis Kassakis, a 4th generation charcutier, about their preparation, history, and significance in Cretan tradition and local cuisine.

Mr Kassakis will guide you at the farm surrounding the production facility of the charcuterie, and will share details about the history of Galatas area which goes back to Minoan times.

Then, as you savour a generous charcuterie board filled with an assortment of traditional Cretan cured meats, in a lush yard, Mr Kassakis will explain everything you need to know about the traditional Cretan methods of curing and preserving meat, and recount his family history whic is deeply involved in the production of traditional Cretan cured meats and sausages for four generations!

The charcuterie board is perfectly complemented by a glass of wine from Cretan wineries, as well as a variety of seasonal starters.

Before leaving, you can buy the cured meats you tasted to take back home with you as a delicious souvenir from Crete!
