This 17th century Fort of the Mughal Kings reflects the zenith of creativity prevalent in architecture during the Mughal Era. The Red Fort is a fusion of Indian, Persian and European Art. Chandni Chowk is a great place for the feel of the medieval bazaars of India! It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as part of his new capital Shahjahanabad. . It was initially shaped as a square at the centre of which was a pool that shimmered in the moonlight which is what the market is named after.
