At 9.a.m. you will depart from your hotel in Luang Prabang and drive north east. Along the way, you can stop at Hath Hient Village to see the way villagers use traditional techniques to make iron knifes which this village is well-known for. After taking some time at the village, you will head onwards to Ban Pickngai which is the living area of people of the Yuan ethnicity. Then, you will carry on through enormous rice paddy fields until reaching Ban Na Tan which is home to the Khumu people.
After taking some time at the village, you will continue onwards once again to another Khumu village of Ban Bohei. Here you will be served a well-prepared picnic lunch cooked from fresh local ingredients and enjoy it amongst the beautiful surrounding landscape.
After lunch you will have relaxing time nearby the Nam Pa River which is truly one of the most beautiful scenic rivers in the whole of Laos! After that, you will drive up into the surrounding mountains to visit the Hmong village of Ban Long Lan. Here, you have a whole two hours to explore the organic vegetable and fertilise coffee plantations before a local shaman explains to us about the different techniques and ingredients used in traditional Lao medicine. From here, you head back towards Luang Prabang where you take some time to visit Ban San Xang Khong village along the way and arriving back at around 4:00pm
