Take the opportunity to meet the people and wildlife living in the Ream National Park on this tour. Board a local wooden boat at Sihanoukville Port before cruising down the Ream River. This tour offers a different view of life in Preah Sihanouk, visit local houses and a mountain pagoda before returning to Sihanoukville.
At around 09:00 in the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel for departing to the Park Ranger’s Office (30 minutes from Sihanoukville) before taking a boat trip down the mangrove-lined Prek Toeuk Sap estuary.
This river is salty in the dry season when seawater flows inland, while in the wet season freshwater from ponds pushes the salty water back. Dugongs and spot-billed pelicans are just some of the wildlife that can be found in the estuary. During the months of December, January and February you can spot the white freshwater dolphins and flying fish cartwheeling out of the water. Stop to visit a small fishing village, giving you a great view into the locals’ life.
After that, trek 3 km to an unspoilt beach of Koh Sampouch, where a stunning seafood lunch will be served. Spend some time at your leisure for relaxing by the beach before heading back to Sihanoukville by boat and the shared vehicle.
The tour ends around 17:00 at your hotel.
