Reach the crater of the Caldera de los Arrabales via a narrow path. Look into the crater. Its highest elevation is 242 m. Learn more about the bizarre volcanic landscape and enjoy the view over the unique lunar landscape.
As an important bird sanctuary, Arrabales is home to the native Egyptian Vultures. Use of the hiking trail is not permitted during the breeding season from February to the end of July.
the hiking trail
The hike is a circular hike of 6 km. Due to the volcanic soil and a slight climb to the crater shoes with grip are essential. All participants should have a good basic level of fitness and be able to spend 3 hours exploring the beauty of nature with us.
A picnic on the crater edge is one of the highlights of the volcano hike.
The bocadillo “sandwich” tastes best in the open air. Take the time to pause for a moment and enjoy the surroundings during this break.
pick up by minivan in the south available. If you are staying in the north please ask for a central meetingpoint and use a hire car.
