This hike will take you the the snowshoeing experience in stunning fell landscapes of Riisitunturi National park. After you have met your guide and get your gears, transfer around 30 minutes to the starting point of the hike. The route takes you through the snow-covered forest, from where you climb up to witness panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness and Kitkajärvi, Europe´s largest spring water lake. Along the way you will learn about the arctic nature, way of life and of course enjoy a coffee break by the fire. The length of the hike is 3-6 kilometres depending on the chosen route. your guide will decide the route depending on current conditions and the group. Minimum age of 12 years is required for participation. Duration 5-6 hours.
