Situated within the breathtaking Protected Forest Reserve Arvi Park at an elevation of 2,195 metres, lies a haven teeming with diverse wildlife. This sanctuary is home to approximately 69 species of birds, 19 species of mammals, and 41 species of amphibians and reptiles. The climate prevailing in this region is predominantly cold, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 18 degrees Celsius. Enveloped in a humid tropical mountain environment, the area boasts an abundance of cloud forests.

A mere half-hour drive from the Arvi Park walkers entrance, one embarks on a journey along the historic path of the old Medellin-Bogota highway, once traversed by the Antioquian farmers known as “Arrieros.” In times past, these hardworking individuals transported a myriad of goods, animals, and food on the backs of mules, catering to the needs of various small towns' markets.

The destination is an enchanting traditional Antioquian farm, spanning 18 hectares and perched at an altitude of 2,200 metres above sea level. Within these picturesque surroundings, speciality coffee, corn, and spring onions are lovingly cultivated.
