Route 1 - Day Tour with Meeting of Waters, Dolphins & Indian Village (8 Hours)
Discover the unique phenomenon of the Meeting of the Waters of the Rio Negro and Amazon River, or Rio SolimƵes, as the upper section of the Amazon River is known in Brazil. The full-day tour from Manaus sails by speedboat to a local village, where you will interact with the indigenous Dessanos and Tucanos peoples. Visit a jungle pharmacy and watch the indigenous peoples going about their daily activities. Meet the shaman of the tribe, and see and purchase lovely handmade handicrafts.
Pause for lunch at the Jungle Queen floating restaurant to sample regional food, before continuing to the Meeting of the Waters, where the dark waters of the Rio Negro mix with the sandy coloured waters of the Amazon.
Take a canoe trip into the flooded forests, where piranha fishing is a popular activity. Go to a pirarucu fish nursery to see one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world. Admire beautiful water lilies, look out for sloths and anaconda in the trees, and jump in to swim with the shy pink river dolphins of the Amazon rain forest.
Route 2 - Day Tour to Presidente Figueiredo Amazon Waterfalls (6 Hours)
After being picked up from your ship in Manaus, venture deep into Amazon jungle on a 1-day excursion. Route 3 - Half-day Manaus City Tour (4 Hours)
Located in the north of Brazil, Manaus is the capital of the Amazon. It is one of the most important places of departure to explore the Amazon Rainforest, the worldās richest and most-varied biological reservoir, and contains several million species of insects, plants, birds, and other forms of life.
After pick-up from your hotel in Manaus, the tour will visit some important landmarks in the city, such as The Amazon Opera House (also known as The Amazon Theatre). Inaugurated in 1896, it is a historical landmark that currently accommodates the Amazonas Philharmonic and plays host to the annual Amazonas Opera Festival. The Indian Museum is the biggest museum of Brazilian indigenous history and houses more than 3,000 pieces made by Amazonian tribes. After your tour, youāll be transferred back to your hotel in Manaus.
