Carmelo is a small town located on the Las Vacas stream on the Río de la Plata, and is the only city founded by Uruguay's national hero: José Artigas.
This small town is characterised by the warmth of its people, its centre that seems stuck in the 80s and for being historically the largest wine producing city in the country.
We will pick you up at the door of your hotel in Colonia del Sacramento at the time you choose, and we will depart towards the beautiful and picturesque city of Carmelo, visiting the most relevant historical places in the place.
You will see incredible landscapes on the coasts of the Río de la Plata and Río Uruguay and you will visit two traditional wineries, and their typical family vineyards.
You will be able to enjoy a wine tasting and a classic Uruguayan snack in both wineries (optional) and at the end of the experience you will safely return to your accommodation in Colonia del Sacramento.
