Get picked up from your hotel in Fortaleza and make your way to the mountain town of Guaramiranga, also known as the “Flower Town”. Your first stop will be the city of Redenção, which is Portuguese for redemption, because it was the first city in Brazil to abolish slavery.
Next, proceed to the Capuchin Monastery, which was constructed in the 19th century (the golden era of coffee) as a seminary. Today, the building has been converted into a relaxing inn and is still run by monks. Wander through its inner gardens, with flowers and other typical flora from Guaramiranga. Then visit the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, built in 1935.
Enjoy a stop for lunch, then travel to Guaramiranga and take a tour of the town with your guide. You'll have some free time after the guided tour to relax, stroll through the town or explore the area’s rugged nature at your own pace. At the end of the day, head back to Fortaleza with the rest of your group.
