In the morning or at sunset, a tour of great scenic and historical interest around the Florentine hills of the Oltrarno. We will visit scenic and prestigious places such as Pian de Giullari and the hills of Arcetri, admire the famous Villa of Poggio Imperiale, the basilica of San Miniato a Monte, San Leonardo in Arcetri, Forte Belvedere and Costa San Giorgio for a unique tour of the city. In the evening version we will walk through streets where history meets nature, magical places that will give us magnificent glimpses of a Florence illuminated by the evening lights. The route starts from Piazza di Santa Maria Sopr'Arno and continues slightly uphill to the Pian de Giullari area, through a scenery dotted with historic residences surrounded by Mediterranean gardens. A stop is planned at Piazzale Michelangelo, from which there is a splendid view of the historic centre. It is Florence's most famous panoramic terrace, a must-see destination for tourists visiting the city. We will admire the Renaissance monuments from a different perspective, enjoying views ranging from Brunelleschi's Duomo and Giotto's Tower to Ponte Vecchio, from the Civic Tower to the Arno River. We will continue with an off-the-beaten-path itinerary through magnificent villas, churches and historic parks strolling the ancient medieval streets used since the Middle Ages by pilgrims and merchants to discover hidden corners that tell the storey of Florence and those who lived it, such as the Medici and Galileo Galilei.
