The journey typically begins in Lukla and passes through picturesque villages, lush forests, and iconic suspension bridges.
As you ascend, you'll acclimatise to the high altitude, passing through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and Gorak Shep. The final push leads you to Everest Base Camp, where climbers prepare for their ascent. The landscape is rugged yet stunning, with panoramic views of surrounding peaks like Nuptse and Lhotse.
A highlight of this trip is the return journey via a helicopter tour, providing a unique perspective of the Himalayan terrain. The helicopter offers a bird's-eye view of the towering peaks, deep valleys, and the Khumbu Glacier.
The heli tour offers stunning aerial views of Gokyo Lakes and Everest. Fly over Khumbu Icefall and get a close-up of Everest. The helicopter ride is luxurious and saves your energy for more exploration.
In a matter of hours, you'll transition from the rugged trails of the Khumbu to the bustling city of Kathmandu. The Everest Base Camp Trek with a return heli tour provides a perfect blend of adventure and comfort, allowing you to savour the majesty of the Himalayas from both ground level and the sky.
