What you can expect
Day 01: Welcome to Kenya
Arriving at Kenya's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a car will transfer you to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve boasts stunning natural beauty, marked by 'Maa' trees. Stay two nights at Bateleur Camp, where the iconic Out of Africa scene was filmed. Luxuriate in personalised service, a refreshing pool, and breathtaking views.
Day 02: The Maasai Mara
Bateleur Camp: Western Mara's exclusive haven offers guided safaris at dawn or dusk, showcasing the majestic savannah and its wildlife. Nature walks, night drives, and sundowner stops enrich the experience. Witness the Big 5, rare species, and the spectacular Great Migration amidst diverse birdlife.
Day 03: Tanzania awaits
After your safari and a meal, head to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Fly to Lake Manyara, praised by Hemingway as Africa's most beautiful. Stay two nights at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, with cosy tree houses nestled in ancient forests. Relax with a recommended spa massage.
Day 04: Charming Lake Manyara
Manyara's lush forests team with life: blue monkeys, wild hornbills. Volcanic hills frame the lake's pink flamingo shores. Acacia woodlands harbour elephants, lions, and Kirk's Dik-Diks. Banded Mongooses entertain. Birders flock to spot 400 species, notably flamingos, pelicans, and storks. Guided tours offer day and night exploration by foot, vehicle, or bike, revealing elephants, lions, giraffes, and nocturnal creatures.
Day 05: Journey to the Crater
After a thrilling game drive and meal, drive from Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater. It's a marvel – diverse terrain, abundant wildlife, a UNESCO site, and harmonious coexistence of people and wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge offers stunning views from each suite on the crater's edge, with luxurious amenities and exquisite cuisine.
Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the world's largest intact dry caldera. Descend from the lodge through rainforests to the crater floor, 610 metres (2,000 feet) below. Experience the vast 260 km2 (100 miles2) grassland teeming with wildlife including wildebeest, zebra, elephant, and lions. Enjoy a picnic amidst herds, then return for sundowners and dinner.
Day 07 - 08: Legendary Serengeti
After breakfast, fly to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, untouched for over a million years. Witness the Great Migration of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebras, an unstoppable instinct. Stay at Serengeti Under Canvas Camp for afternoon game drives and nocturnal animal spotting. Opt for a memorable morning hot air balloon ride. Experience luxury and comfort, including a feast under the stars.
Day 09: Farewell in Africa
After concluding your East African safari, you depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport, proceed to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, where a driver awaits to transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, cherishing the enduring memories of the African sun, wild sage scent, and lions' roars echoing in the night.
