The Phoenix des Lumières is located in a former puddling and rolling mill in the city of Dortmund. Culturespaces aims to bring the site back to life by creating a large digital art centre that will present major immersive exhibitions. The unique architecture of the buildings is a showcase that highlights the works of the most famous artists in the history of art and provides visitors with a uniquely immersive experience.
The Phoenix des Lumières opened to the public on 28 January 2023 with the exhibitions ‘Gustav Klimt: Gold and Colour’ and ‘Hundertwasser, in the Wake of the Vienna Secession’.
Currently, you can experience the unique, modern exhibition of the famous works by Dalí and Gaudí as well as the temporary exhibition 3 Movements. With one of the entry tickets, wander through the renovated industrial space known as the Phoenix des Lumières. Let yourself be swept away by vivid colours and creative genius.
