What you can expect

The exhibition will be showcased at the Museum from June 3 - December 31, 2024. Guests can experience the vibrant worlld of Walt Disney Studios and its contribution to the war efforts. Shortly after Pearl Harbour was attacked on December 7, 1941, Walk Disney dedicated almost his entire studio to the war efforts and the production was deemed so important to America that it was the only film studio guarded around the clock by our troops. The exhibit will feature more than 550 stunning examples of Walt Disney Studio's work including previously restricted training films, authentic insignia patches and nose art designs.

A unique element to the exhibit will be showcased only at Pearl Harbour Aviation Museum - a recently designed nose art insignia created by a Walt Disney Animation Studios artist honouring the crew of the Museum's iconic Swamp Ghost, a B-17 bomber that crashed on February 23, 1942 in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Lost in the swamp for more than six decades prior to its recovery, the newly designed nose art depicts Donald Duck rising out of the jumgle swamp. It's a wonderful example of how Disney still supports our military today.
