This excursion begins at our office and the first stop will be La Misión, now a area in the city but also a historic site once occupied by both the native people and the first missionaries who arrived in the region. Here, we will see remnants of the settlement and admire the imposing Andes Mountains at the edge of the Beagle Channel.
During the tour, our guide will continue to share the storey of the city’s evolution and history as we visit iconic landmarks such as the old airport, the giant letter sign with the city’s name, the port, the Maritime and Prison Museum of Ushuaia, and the Martial Glacier Reserve.
Once at the Martial Glacier reserve, those who wish to pay the entrance fee to the old ski slope of the Martial Glacier and join the guide can enjoy a short hike. Those who prefer not to can take in the enchanting surroundings and visit the famous Glacier Tea House.
