The articulated mountains near the village of Ulassai offer a long series of hiking routes.
Different from each other, the itineraries are united by an exaggerated beauty and the presence of the characteristic limestone “heels”.
Among these, a beautiful itinerary stands out which allows you to savour the beauty of these places in a very satisfying way.
It consists of a fabulous, very varied circular route that continually changes its appearance and landscapes.
A trek without dead spots that alternates stretches of forest with others at the base of jutting walls.
Halfway through the route you reach one of the highest and most panoramic peaks in the area, Bruncu Su Casteddu (882 m, 2900 ft), a relief from which you can enjoy an immeasurable view.
During the route you cross an immense diaclasis (breaking of the rock with parts moving away) within which one of the most beautiful woods in Sardinia grows, where it will be very likely to spot some goblins.
Here the moss abounds lushly on all the walls and the breathtaking landscape is embellished by two spiers that stand elegantly against the sky.
