What you can expect
The Snowman Trek, which is regarded as one of the world's most challenging and rewarding trekking circuits, covers high mountain passes, isolated valleys, and traditional Bhutanese villages over a distance of around 200 miles (320 kilometres) and three weeks. The path goes into the heart of the Bhutanese countryside, past breathtaking alpine lakes, historic monasteries, and massive peaks, some of which rise to an altitude of over 7,000 metres. Trekkers navigate challenging terrains and endure varying weather conditions, from dense forests to barren landscapes and icy glaciers. The trek's name is derived from the lingering snow cover along the route, which persists even during the trekking season from late September to October. The Snowman Trek not only tests the physical endurance of trekkers but also provides a cultural immersion into the unique traditions and landscapes of Bhutan, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those seeking the ultimate adventure in the Himalayas.
