Activity itinerary

John Bremond House (Pass by)
The tour starts outside the Bremond House where you'll hear the storey Pierre, and the ghosts that haunt it. Then you'll be guided step by step through Austin's most haunted sites and hear their history and haunted stories.
Texas Governor's Mansion (Pass by)
The tour ends at the historic governor's mansion. This is one of the most historic buildings in Austin, and was once the home of Sam Houston. It's also one of the most haunted.
Republic Square
  • 10m
Built in 1888, Republic Square is one of the remaining four public squares in Austin. As you look around you can see it’s very eclectic with signage explaining the ties to Mexican and Mexican American heritage. It's also one of the most haunted.
The Capital Grille (Pass by)
The land the Capital Grille is on was once Austin’s original railway depot which was built in 1871. This was crucial to the growth and development of Austin as it brought building supplies, raw materials, clothing, food, visitors and even newcomers to the capital city. And over that time, plenty of mayhem has occurred.
Paramount Theatre (Pass by)
the Paramount began hosting performers like Orson Wells, Harry Houdini, Mae West and even Katherine Hepburn. It's also seen over 100 years of history. And spirits.
The Driskill (Pass by)
This magnificent building was built in 1886 in the Romanesque revival style by cattle rancher and confederate colonel Jesse Driskill. It’s said that Driskill used blood money from the Civil War to pay for the construction of this hotel. Driskell had made a fortune between cattle ranching and profiting from the Civil War but spent nearly his entire fortune on this property. In fact, he ended up living here.
St. David's Episcopal Church (Pass by)
The ghost storey associated with church revolves around the figure of Reverend Charles Gillette, who served as the rector of the church in the late 19th century. Reverend Gillette is a significant historical figure in the church's history, known for his dedication to the congregation and his pivotal role in the church's development during his tenure.
Texas State Capitol (Pass by)
In 1983 there was a fire in the building and tragically a few people were killed in it. One of those burnt to death was a twenty-three year old intern. It’s said that firemen couldn’t break into the window, their only way in, to save him. They were forced to watch in horror while this young man slowly died. Somehow that window survived despite the rest of the room being torched and destroyed. Ever since, there have been handprints that appear when it’s cold or raining no matter how many times the window is cleaned. And they have tried replacing the windows but that doesn’t seem to matter.
