Museo di Castelvecchio (Pass by)
The fortified residence of the Scaligeri family and, probably, their most important architectural work. Ponte Scaligero

A notable work of fortified architecture built by the Scaligeri family, the Castelvecchio bridge connects the fort of the same name with the other bank of the Adige and served as a possible escape route towards Tyrol in the event of armed rebellions by other families of Verona.
Porta Borsari - World Heritage Site
  • 2m
Porta Borsari, built in the 1st century BC, was once the main entrance to Verona. In fact, the Via Postumia, one of the main arteries of the Roman era, passed through here. The name of the gate has medieval origins and refers to the name of the customs officials who collected duties near the gate.
Casa di Giulietta (Pass by)
The legend of Juliet's house arises from the fact that in this medieval house there was the "del Cappello" inn, from the name of the family that owned it and which was identified as that of the Capulets, one of the two rival families in Shakespeare's great drama. If you want to visit it, remember that the entrance ticket price is not included in this tour.
Porta dei Leoni
  • 2m
Once the entrance to the city along the cardo maximus, one of the main arteries of Roman Verona, Porta Leoni was built around the 1st century BC. The name derives from a funerary monument from the Roman era, surmounted by two lions, present in the street leading to the door and was attributed to it in the sixteenth century.
Via Mazzini
  • 2m
Along the way you can encounter several historic buildings of Verona. The Loggia Arvedi, an example of Veronese classicism, the church of San Tommaso Apostolo and, at the point where the street opens towards Piazza Bra, a column surmounted by a fourteenth-century aedicule with San Marco, San Antonio Abate, San Giacomo and the Madonna .

Piazza dei Signori

Piazza dei Signori became the heart of the city during the rule of the Scaligeri family and, later, of the Republic of Venice. It is also known as Piazza Dante and in the centre there is a statue of the great poet, six hundred years after his birth.
