What you can expect

Discover one of the most complete private collections of Cycladic art worldwide, with representative examples of marble carvings, figurines and vases, tools, weapons, and pottery from all phases of the distinctive Cycladic island culture that flourished in the central Aegean during the Early Bronze Age (third millennium BC).

The collection of Ancient Greek Art comprises painted vases, terracotta figurines, bronze vessels, stone sculptures, coins, gold jewellery, and glass items, covering a wide time span from the 2nd millennium BC to the 4th c. AD. See the development of the Greek city-states and society as you move through the exhibition.

The exhibition on the 2nd floor of the museum provides a comprehensive overview of historical, artistic, and technological developments in the course of ancient Greek history. The exhibition on the 4th floor offers a vivid glance at everyday life in Classical Athens.

The MCA collection of Ancient Cypriot Art (one of the largest outside Cyprus) comprises unique prehistoric figurines, Archaic and Classical sculptures, inscriptions, bronzes, coins, exquisite gold jewellery, impressive glasswork, and a wide array of ceramics ranging in date from the 4th millennium BC to Medieval times. See how Ancient Cypriot Art combined elements deriving from local, Greek, Egyptian, and Near Eastern traditions, exemplifying the intense level of interaction among ancient Mediterranean cultures

The Cycladic Café is a hidden oasis in which you can enjoy Cycladic flavours from natural products and virgin ingredients.
