Discover the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology that is located in a unique historic Art Nouveau building, with a total area of 700 square metres. Get to know a relatively unknown aspect of ancient Greek culture through the exhibition “The Hi-Tech Inventions of Ancient Greeks” which includes about 100 selected exhibits from the robot-servant and the “cinema” of Philon to the automotive-puppet show of Heron, and from the hydraulic clock of Ktesibios to the Antikythera calculating mechanism.
Enjoy also the rich audio-visual material (in Greek and English), such as explanatory labels and giant posters with a lot of information, detailed diagrams, photos, and complete bibliographical references, while many of the exhibits are interactive.
