Day 1:
Start with pickup at 8:00 AM from your hotel in Aswan. First, visit the beautiful Philae Temple which was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Then proceed to the amazing High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 to protect the surrounding regions from the annual Nile floods. Next, make your way to check-in for the cruise and set sail at approximately 2:00 PM. Enjoy a pleasant afternoon cruise and arrive at the Temple of Kom Ombo in time for sunset. This beautiful temple was built to worship the gods Sobek and Horus. Continue sailing till Edfu where the cruise will stop for an overnight stay.
Day 2:
Rise early in the morning for breakfast before enjoying a horse and carriage ride to the Temple of Horus at Edfu. This ancient temple houses important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama which tells of the conflict between Horus and Seth. Return to the cruise ship for afternoon tea while sailing towards Luxor. Pass through Esna lock along the way before arriving in Luxor at 7:00 PM.
Day 3:
On the third day venture to the Valley of the Kings just outside the city of Luxor. Explore the site with your guide and wander through the Royal Tombs. Proceed to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. Queen Hatsheput was the first Pharaonic woman to rule Egypt. Next, see the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile.
Visit the Karnak Temple Complex, which was dedicated to the God Amun and his wife, Mut. Walk through the giant pillars of the famous Great Hypostyle Hall. Karnak Temple also features the oldest peace treaty known to historians, which was signed by the Hittites and the Egyptians. The Egyptian version of the treaty was preserved on a wall in the Temple of Amun at Karnak. Next, see the majestic Luxor Temple and the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. You will then be transferred to the airport or railway station for your final departure.
