Overview

We start the tour with an introduction to the building, its history and what it is used for today. Attention to the design and details.
Then we walk along 6 art walls with a total of 50 works of art measuring 50x40 cm and 20X30 cm.

Three art walls interact with the building and tree provide a glimpse into the future. The artist herself is present and will answer all questions. We end the tour with a water tasting of 3 different flavours. the tour is informative, inspiring and entertaining. A nice bonus is meeting new people.

Acqui Terme

A first edition of a yearly event with artists in the Acqui Terme region during September / October. Annelies Nuy (visual arts, from the Netherlands, 1960) is the initiator. She started a research project on how her art can be able to connect, inspire and inform her own generation, Generation X. The exhibition is layered from a decorative art wall to innovative thoughts about the future. In 6 Art Walls 3 old values of Christianity and an interaction with the monastery are contrasted with 3 new values in the Metaverse, a virtual 3D environment. The works representing the old values are sober, abstract and meditative. Annelies chose 3 bible classics: GOLD ,MYRRH and INCENSE. The new values are abstract and fragmentary, unfinished and with a void still to be filled. Each art wall has its own future inspired storey: MOTION SICKNESS, GASFEES and MINTEN. in the Q&A layering concepts and underlying thoughts are further explained.

Acqui terme is known for its La Bollente, a hot spring with healing water. Because the water is above 70 degrees, it is not immediately drinkable. We have frozen it and added a natural flavour to make the healing water drinkable. You can argue about taste, but I am sure you will love it.
