07:30 We start off the day with Tenikwa Wild cats, were you will be welcomed on arrival by your personal guide, who will introduce you to the centre and its conservation work with an educational video. Visit the Meerkat Meander afterwards, where meerkats who have been confiscated have found a permanent home. Entering the leopard walkway with your guide, you will need to search to find the well-camouflaged leopard. See the cheetahs next, and learn about how their numbers are diminishing in the wild. Have amazing opportunities to take photographs of the cheetahs, leopards, caracals, and servals. Get a chance to go inside some of the enclosures (where it's safe), and be in close proximity to the cats. Finish your tour with a visit to the magnificent white lion when you take a walk high above on the lion walkway. Enjoy a leisurely-paced tour and plenty of opportunities to talk to your guide about the conservation work being done at the centre and the animals that call it home. You can re-visit your favourite cats a second time if you'd like.
Continue by enjoying a 1-hour guided safari through Monkeyland – the world’s largest, free-roaming, multi-species primate sanctuary. Here you can expect to see many species of monkeys, apes and lemurs living in our forested sanctuary.
After working up an appetite, we will have lunch at Bramon Wine Estate. This lunch will consist of delicious your choice of mezze platters, cheeses, pâtés, tapas, fresh home-made bread, and a glass of wine.
You will then wander through the world’s largest free-flight aviary at Birds of Eden, which incorporates an indigenous forest with waterfalls and elevated walkways. Previously caged birds from every corner of the globe live here in free flight.
We end our glorious day by interacting, touching, feeding, and walking trunk-in-hand with the magnificent elephants at The Crags Elephant Sanctuary. You will even have a personal experience with the elephants, as you participate in their bedding down during the brush down programme.
