Overview

This tour blends medieval history, archaeology, modern Cyprus, and its traditions.
Our journey begins at the stunning Birthplace of Aphrodite, where, according to legend, the goddess emerged from the sea foam. It is said that swimming here prolongs youth and beauty.
Next, we visit Lefkara, a UNESCO-listed village famous for handmade lace and silverware. Its picturesque stone streets and unique “Lefkaritiko” lace-making tradition make it a cultural gem.
We then explore Limassol, a vibrant mix of old and new. In the Old Town, near the Old Port, you can stroll through narrow streets, sip Cypriot coffee, and shop for local crafts, sea sponges, and olive oil-based products.
Finally, we visit the ancient city of Kourion, perched atop a cliff with breathtaking views. Walk through its famous Greco-Roman amphitheatre and experience the grandeur of the Roman era.

Aphrodite's Rock
  • 20m
Petra tou Romiou, also known as the Birthplace of Aphrodite is a beautiful coastal area and a popular tourist destination in Cyprus. According to Greek mythology, it was here that the goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam. Homer called Aphrodite Cypris, the goddess of Cyprus, which is why Cyprus is called the island of love. The modern name of this place is Petra tou Romiou - "Roman's rock" is associated with another legend: the legendary Byzantine warrior Digenis Akritas, the hero of the Byzantine epic, repelling the Saracen raid on the island, threw pieces of rock from the Troodos Mountains at them. A huge boulder just beyond the rock of Aphrodite is called the "Saracen Rock".

In 1889, a lace school was opened in Lefkara, and the ancient lace technique was recognised as the heritage of Cyprus. In addition, the production of silver products is also widely known - jewellery and dishes, icon frames, made of solid silver and silver lace.
