Overview

Sangumburi is a crater that looks like a bowl of soup and is hollowed out when volcanic gas explodes and goes into the ground. It is a very special crater in Asia, and the view with the numerous surrounding oreums and Hallasan Mountain in the background is very beautiful and worth admiring the special crater. Sangsan Ilchulbong is a large 182m lava rock created by the eruption of an underwater volcano 5,000 years ago. As the volcano erupted and cooled, it formed a large crater-shaped volcanic rock. It is famous for its castle-like scenery and as a place to watch the sunrise due to its location on the east. Seongsan Ilchulbong is a World Natural Heritage site and the most visited tourist destination in Jeju. Also, at 2 o'clock every day, there is a haenyeo performance on Seongsan Ilchulbong Beach. On days when the weather is very bad, the haenyeo performance is suddenly cancelled.
