Day 2: ANTANANARIVO – AMBOSITRA 290 km road +/- 6h

Ambositra
Departure after breakfast to reach Ambositra, the famous city of Art and tourist town of the central highlands. On the way, green landscapes pleasantly adorned with mountain massifs as well as simply sumptuous tributaries of rivers; We will enjoy a short visit to the workshop for the artisanal manufacturing of aluminium kitchen utensils in Ambatolampy; We arrive in Antsirabe “The rickshaw is the ideal means of travel for discovering the cultural and historical heritage of the city”. Visit to embroidery workshops, precious stone cutting and zebu horn shaping; Lunch in Antsirabe; We continue our journey in the afternoon. On the gate of Ambositra, the capital of marquetry and wooden sculpture. You will have the opportunity to buy Zafimaniry art objects as souvenirs in workshops and specialised stalls;
Day 3: AMBOSITRA – ANTOETRA – SAKAIVO 15 km on the RN7+ 25 km of track +/- 2h

Pays Zafimaniry
Early departure to reach Antoetra, the capital of the Zafimaniry country; We will then begin our 4-hour hike to reach the village of Sakaivo, 100m+ elevation gain, through eucalyptus forests and mimosas; A very exceptional view before starting to descend on a granite slab to reach the village of Sakaivo; Arrival at the village, visit the typical huts on stilts built with carved wood.
Day 4: SAKAIVO – ANTOETRA – FIANARANTSOA 25 km of track + 136 km on the RN7+/- 4h

Fianarantsoa
Departure after breakfast, for a 6-hour hike through the Zafimaniry country, we begin with a descent through rice fields at the bottom of the valley to go straight back up opposite on a 150m climb. Arrival at the village of Antoetra, the starting point, visit to the Zafimaniry art workshop; We will leave with the car via the track and the national 7 to reach Fianarantsoa;
Day 5: FIANARANTSOA – MAHASOABE – SAHAMBAVY – AMBALAVAO 70 km of track return + 65 km on the RN7 +/- 3h

Les Rizieres En Terrasses Du Parc National Ambalavao
A day of walking to understand the life of Betsileo villagers, using their mode of transport and observing their daily life; Departure around 7 a.m. from Fianarantsoa to reach the village of Mangarivotra, from there take the canoe to cross the Mahatsiatra River which separates two ancient Betsileo Kingdoms; After 4 hours of descent by canoe, arrival at Liamena waterfall for lunch picnic; Continue to the village of Iseta; A short hike of one to two hours through the “tea fields” for which Fianarantsoa is famous, a little relaxation near the lake; Visit to the tea plantation; We take the car to reach Ambalavao;
Day 6: AMBALAVAO – NAMOLY – ANDRIAMPOTSY 46 km of track +/- 3h

Parc National de l'Andringitra
Visit to a workshop manufacturing “Anteimoro paper”, parchment paper made from plant fibres; Possibility of attending, on Wednesdays, the “zebus market”, the second largest zebus market in Madagascar with 2000 heads on sale each week; Departure for Andringitra Park; 46 km of red trail to reach the park entrance; Meeting with the local population, the Betsileo villagers who have managed to preserve their ethnic values; 4 hours of walking (600m difference in altitude) to climb to the campsite at the foot of the cliff and at an altitude of 2,050m. We admire the panoramic view of the cliff and the two Riandahy and Riambavy waterfalls;
Day 7: ANDRIAMPOTSY – ANTARANOMBY

2 to 3 hours of walking for climbing towards Pic Boby (2658m), the view is magnificent, 2 hours of walking to go back down; 4 hours of walking to cross the plateau at the foot of the cliff, at an altitude of 2,000 m and wander around the alien site following the descent on the west side of the cliff and crossing the palm forest; There we can admire another magnificent view; Night in bivouac near another natural swimming pool in Lantaranomby (at 1,600m altitude).

The Tsaronoro valley which offers splendid landscapes dominated by mountains, endemic fauna and flora; At an altitude of 850 metres, you can discover the pretty village of Morarano, with its adobe houses in glowing colours; The Tsaranoro massif is the ideal place to learn or improve your skills in climbing and paragliding Tsaranoro stands out for the beauty of its majestic landscape dominated by an 800 metre high cliff; Option 1 – Grand tour of the tsaranoro / a loop of 8 hours of walking, 1st viewpoint behind the cliff 1800m, 2nd viewpoint 1700m above sea level Option 2 – Chameleon Peak circuit / a 6-hour return walking loop, summit of the peak at 1540m altitude. View towards the cliff, the valley and the Andringitra mountain range Option 3 – Village circuit / a 4-hour walking loop, view of the valley, visit to the village forest and sacred forest

We take the road again to Ranohira, a small sleepy village at the foot of the great Isalo massif; Resumption of the journey via the Horombe plateau; Arrival in Ranohira, check-in at the hotel; Towards the end of the afternoon, we will have an exceptional meeting at sunset on the Isalo window which makes the reputation of the Far West of Madagascar; Within the massif, you will be captivated by the most unusual sculptures of the ruiniform relief of Isalo

Isalo National Park is located south of Fianarantsoa and covers 81,540 ha; You will find several endemic and highly protected species there, including 14 diurnal and nocturnal lemurs; In Isalo, you will also find 77 species of birds, reptiles, amphibians, carnivores, insectivores and also rodents; The park has more than 400 plant species, the vast majority of which are endemic to Madagascar; The Isalo savannah is populated with fire-resistant palm trees, specific to the region: “Satrana” or “bismarkia nobilis”; Visit to the maki canyon: possibility of seeing ring-tailed makis and sifakas; Passage to the ridge path, viewpoint over the Isalo, visit to the Nymphe waterfall, natural swimming pool, black and blue swimming pool with clear water; Possibility of swimming for those who wish;
