Experience the many flavours of Czech Christmas. The Christmas tour begins with a cup of hot mulled wine scented with cinnamon and cardamom, which will warm your hands as you walk through the snow-covered streets of the city.

The guided tour will introduce you to the interesting facts of Krumlov's history and give you an insight into the rich tradition of Czech “Vánoce” celebrations.

You can look forward to a traditional Christmas Eve dinner. An old Bohemian tavern will smell of fried carp breaded cutlet, Christmas cookies “cukroví” and the sweet scent of vanilla. You will enjoy a portion of potato salad by candlelight, in the atmosphere of Christmas carols, and your Christmas experience will be enhanced by old Bohemian Christmas Eve traditions.

2. Fried breaded fish with Czech potato salad, Traditional Czech carp with potato salad made out of potatoes, pickles, boiled eggs, mustard and onion and flavoured with mayo.

3. Traditional Czech Christmas cookies, Cookies made out of spiced nut dough.

The city tour combines the history of the city with the history of Christmas and the development of Czech Christmas traditions and customs.

You can look forward to visiting the most picturesque places in Krumlov: a walk through the painted castle courtyards with a bear moat, the Mantle Bridge, visit to the monastery courtyard with craft markets, Latrán Street and the artists' alley, Náplavka embankment of the Vltava river, Barbe's bridge, Svornosti square with traditional Christmas markets, wooden nativity scene and a large Christmas tree, the interior of the church of St. Vitus, former Jesuit garden with a panoramic view of the Krumlov castle.
