Overview

Taking in some of the most stunning sights in the Red Centre over three days, this small group adventure presents a snapshot of some of the most beautiful places in the area, including Uluru, Kings Canyon, the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge and Kata Tjuta. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park was added to the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1987 after the international community recognised the park's spectacular geological formations, rare plants and animals, and outstanding natural beauty. You will discover incredible secrets of the Red Centre with commentary, stories, and hidden gems that will really put this place into perspective.

We provide two different sleeping arrangements at our exclusive private campsites, with twin shared safari tents, or a traditional swag experience. (canvas-covered bedroll)

This tour offers guests the option to start in Ayers Rock and finish in Alice Springs only, please advise flight details at the time of booking.

As we depart from Ayers Rock (Uluru Airport), we join our guests in Yulara who have travelled from Alice Springs. Prior to joining the tour, guests boarding at the airport will need to arrange their own lunch. After that, it's off to the Red Centre's Aboriginal interpretive centre. This very special national park has cultural, ecological, historical, and geological significance. As we begin to comprehend the sheer size and magnificence of Uluru, we make our way towards the base, getting up close and personal to explore further. On our way to Kuniya Piti, we hear creation stories of Kuniya and Liru as we explore sacred rock art sites at Mutitjulu waterhole.  We drive around sacred sites towards Kantju Gorge, where we can admire the highest waterfall in Central Australia, an elders' cave, and the world's oldest pantry.  We retreat for panoramic views to witness one of the most amazing sunsets on the planet after exploring one of the world's most impressive rocks up close and personal.
Day 2: Day 2: Ayers Rock (Uluru) to Kings Canyon

We get up early this morning and have a light breakfast before heading to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for a spectacular sunrise over Uluru. The breathtaking sight of Uluru was already something special, but then we are approached by the stunning silhouette of Kata Tjuta, just when we think it could not get any more majestic. During the hike through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, we will marvel at the mighty conglomerate rock formations that can be seen in the area. After exploring Kata Tjuta we make our way towards Kings Canyon region where we enjoy a magnificent outback sunset, as well as a hearty meal around a campfire after exploring Kata Tjuta.
Day 3: Day 3: Kings Canyon to Alice Springs

Kings Canyon
  • 12h
Our day starts early in the morning as we travel into the ancient landscape and sacred grounds of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people as we explore the mighty Kings Canyon (Watarrka). The jewel in the crown of Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) is located in the middle of the park, amidst towering 100-meter cliff faces, extraordinary views of sandstone chasms, and breathtaking backdrops that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck at the sight of it. Make sure to grab a hat, water, and sturdy shoes as we set off on foot to explore (the most seasonally appropriate part of) the canyon in more detail on foot. You will now be able to enjoy some downtime as the bus meanders its way to your destination after you have had some well-earned rest. Upon completion of the Kings Canyon Rim Walk, we will start the journey to Alice Springs arriving into town between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
