In the morning, our Shanghai driver will meet you from your hotel at 5am and transfer to Shanghai HongqiaoTrain Station for the train G6 (07:00-11:34) or similar to Beijing.
Beijing

Upon your arrival in Beijing, our guide will meet you at train station exit by holding the board with your name and then board the private car to start the tour.
Mutianyu Great Wall

After lunch, you will come to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches 5400 metres. 90% of the Mutianyu Great Wall is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional (CNY120p.p, cost on your own). On the way back to city area, we will make a stop at Bird’s Nest and Water Cube to pay an outer visit and take some pictures. Back to hotel at around 17:30.
Day 2: Beijing-Shanghai by High Speed Train

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

At 08:00 our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel in Beijing city area. First we will take a walk on the Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and  the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

Then you will pay a visit the Forbidden City (closed on each Monday), one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built with wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). There were 24 emperors of the two dynasties lived in the Forbidden City. Notice: As Forbidden city is closed on Mondays, the visiting order would be adjusted if your Forbidden City tour just happens on Monday.
Temple of Heaven

After lunch, we will pay a visit to Temple of Heaven. Located in southern part of Beijing, it serviced as a complex of sacrificial building where Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

Today’s last stop will be Summer Palace. It locates at the west skirt of Beijing and covers an area of 290 hectare. In the Qing Dynasty during the Qianlong Era, the Summer Palace was built by copying the layout of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Now it is the largest and most completely preserved imperial garden in China. After the tour finished, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Beijing, or transfer to the train station for train G7 (19:00-23:24) or similar back to Shanghai.
