London’s Abbey Road zebra crossing is undoubtedly the most famous road crossing on the planet. The strip of road was immortalised on the cover of the iconic Beatles album named after the street, in which all four members of the world-famous band were shot strolling across the street against a clear blue sky. If you’re in the UK this year, you’ve got to recreate this image with your own walk across Abbey Road.

Bangkok

Bangkok Chinatown

Bangkok has made its way into popular culture over and over again. One recent example was in the comedy movie “The Hangover Part II”. The film opens with stunning scenes of the beaches of Krabi, before revealing the main characters waking up in an apartment in Bangkok. Explore Chinatown to relive the gang’s misadventures and explore the Thonburi canals and Chao Praya River to get a taste of what life in “The Hangover” was like for its characters.

Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi is another Thailand gem that is firmly entrenched in the minds of film buffs everywhere. Cast your mind back to the stunning 2000 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio called “The Beach” and think about its utopian setting. Believe it or not, the stunning island paradise that people were so desperate to get to in the film actually exists in real life.

Koh Phi Phi Leh beach lies on Thailand’s east coast and is pretty much as picture-perfect as it appears in the film. It does however get very crowded. You should visit but spend more time on the other beaches around where you can actually get that untouched island feel that first made this beach iconic.
