1. COMO The Treasury | Perth, Australia
Occupying state buildings dating from the mid-19th century, the recently-opened COMO The Treasury is an ultra-elegant landmark in Perth’s newly-revitalised historic heart. The heritage-listed building houses 48 rooms and has two first-class restaurants, a bar and a range of world-renowned COMO Shambhala wellness therapies on offer.

2. Shangri-La Hotel, Hunghom Bay | Hunghom Bay, Hong Kong
As part of an established brand well known for their deluxe hotel accommodation and fine food, Shangri-La Hotel Hunghom Bay will not disappoint. Upon completion, the five-star luxury hotel will tower over the bay at 18 storeys, housing over 500 rooms as well as restaurants and shops.

3. Padma Resort Ubud | Bali, Indonesia
Nestled within an untouched river valley overlooking the enchanting bamboo forests of Payangan in Ubud, the newly-opened Padma Resort Ubud is an expansive resort spread out over 11 hectares. 4. Hotel Sunroute Osaka Namba | Osaka, Japan
Located in the neighbourhood of Osaka’s best-known downtown area Dotonbori, the new Hotel Sunroute Osaka Namba will offer sophisticated service in a cosy and very colourful setting. Dotonbori is a major centre of shopping and dining, while nearby Nipponbashi is the mecca of Japanese pop culture, complete with animation and manga shops, and the famous maid-cafés!

5. Hotel Monterey Amalie | Kobe, Japan

6. Four Seasons | Kyoto, Japan
With 124 rooms, the Four Seasons in Kyoto will be the hotel brand’s second destination in Japan. Situated in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district and close to attractions such as the Kyoto National Museum, Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple, the luxury hotel will feature local artists throughout its traditional-inspired modern décor. It will also have a spa and fitness centre with a pool, as well as four food and beverage concepts.

7. Prince Gallery Kioicho | Tokyo, Japan
Set to be nothing short of the highest grade of Prince Hotel accommodation, the Prince Gallery Kioicho will occupy the top seven floors of the Tokyo Garden Terrace facility. Expect 250 guest rooms that will be both functional and very comfortable, plus a Japanese main dining restaurant, an all-day dining Italian restaurant, two bars, a spa, a fitness area and other facilities.

8. The Strings Hotel Nagoya | Nagoya, Japan
The four-star Strings Hotel Nagoya is a new hotel opening in Asia. It features three restaurants, a full-service spa and fitness centre, as well as a bar/lounge, café and free area shuttle services. 12. Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort | Niseko, Japan
Replacing the Mountain Hotel in Niseko, the brand new Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort opened its doors just this month, and is the first Sheraton ski resort in Japan. Not surprisingly, its 140 Japanese-style guest rooms and suites are distinguished by upscale amenities and refined service, with Club guests also having special access to the Sheraton Club Lounge.

13. JUCY Snooze | Christchurch, New Zealand
New Zealand’s first pod hotel is going to be in Christchurch! Perfect for those looking for no-frills accommodation (and a little bit of novelty), this backpacker-type accommodation offers individual beds in a capsular design, similar to Japanese capsule hotels. This new hotel in Christchurch allows guests to pay for very short stays – a few hours for a quick nap instead of an entire day, for instance.

17. The Monttra Pattaya | Pattaya, Thailand

As the first property in Vietnam for the Wyndham Hotel Group, the Wyndham Legend Halong looks set to bring a luxurious touch to the popular destination. Currently under construction, the 217-room hotel will include all-day dining, meeting rooms, a pool bar and an on-site gym.

22. Somerset Da Nang Bay | Danang Bay, Vietnam
Located in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, Somerset Danang Bay is a five-minute drive from Danang’s Central Business District and a 15-minute drive from the Danang International Airport, Vietnam’s third busiest airport. When completed, the hotel will provide spectacular views of the Danang Bay and house 121 units ranging from one- to three-bedroom premier apartments that come with an en-suite kitchen and bathroom.
