Things to do in Singapore: March and April 2015
By the time March rolls around, you will have well and truly settled into 2015. Life will have gone back to its usual, humdrum rhythm and your mind can’t help but wander back to the festivities of Chinese New Year or forward to your next holiday. Well, don’t just think about how you can break out of your routine – actually do something. It doesn’t have to be a getaway to some exotic location; these events happening in Singapore and Malaysia are the perfect way to add some spice to your weekends.
One Direction’s ‘On the Road Again’ tour
When: 11 March
Where: Singapore National Stadium
Don’t be so quick to dismiss these boys. If there’s one thing Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik have proven it is that they are no flash in the pan. The British boyband will be in Singapore as part of their ‘On the Road Again’ tour, so if you’re a 1D fan – or you’re a One Directioner, as the fans are sometimes called – be sure to book your spot fast.

Future Music Festival Asia 2015

This year’s Future Music Festival Asia is going to be huge. With a lineup that includes Avicii, The Prodigy, Afrojack, Fatboy Slim, Public Enemy and many more, this sounds like a two-day music extravaganza that should not be missed. And for a touch of local flavour, don’t miss homegrown talents such as RAH, DJ Ya5th, DJ NEZ and DJ Andrew T, too.

SAVOUR

Where: F1 Pit Building
SAVOUR is an annual food festival in Singapore that promises plenty of good food and lots of fun. Taste your way through award winning signature dishes from top restaurants in Singapore and around the world. Get up close and personal with celebrity chefs and don’t forget to pop into the gourmet market for a delicious selection of wine, fresh produce, seafood and artisanal products. 2015 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix
When: 27-29 March
Where: Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia
One of the biggest sporting events in the SEA region, the Malaysia Grand Prix is a ‘must visit’ for Formula 1 fans. In addition to all the on-circuit action, the organisers are also trying to make this year’s event a more family oriented affair. That means an F1 Carnival, drifting and karting opportunities for the aspiring Formula 1 driver in you, and an After Race Concert featuring Lenny Kravitz.

The World Street Food Congress 2015

More than just about eating your fill of some of the world’s best hawker foods, this second edition of the World Street Food Congress is also about worldwide empowerment, engagement and enterprise.
